Why MidwifeGo

The German system is good. But hard to understand.

Mutterpass, antenatal check-ups, finding a midwife, registering at the hospital, the U-Heft: pregnancy brings many new words and appointments. Often quickly, often in German, often without an explanation.

  • Many technical words

Nobody understands what is written in the Mutterpass straight away – not even with good German.

  • Little time at the appointment

At the practice there is often only a moment for your questions. Most of them come to you at home.

  • Not always a midwife

Not every woman finds a midwife in time to care for her at home.

MidwifeGo explains what matters right now: calmly, clearly and in your language.

How it works

Ready in one minute.

  1. 1

    Open the app

No account, no password. Choose your language and begin.

  2. 2

    Enter your date

Your due date or your baby's date of birth – that is all the app needs.

  3. 3

    Read what fits

The app shows you what counts this week. No more and no less.

Features

The app knows where you are right now.

You enter your date once. After that everything follows your week.

Your week, clearly explained

Every week MidwifeGo shows you what is changing for you and your baby, which check-up is due and what to look out for.

  • Body and changes
  • Check-ups and antenatal care
  • Nutrition and lifestyle

Count contractions without doing sums

One tap when the contraction begins, one tap when it is over. MidwifeGo measures duration and interval and shows you the pattern – ready to read out when you call the hospital.

  • Duration and interval worked out for you
  • The pattern of the last hour
  • The most important warning signs always visible

The tracker counts and shows. It does not make a diagnosis.

A glossary in two languages

Every technical word appears in German and in your language, side by side. So you understand it – and recognise it at your next appointment.

  • German word and translation
  • A simple explanation with it
  • Search in both languages
Search for a word …
  • KreißsaalDelivery room

Emergency

Emergency – what now?

Separately for mother and child, you see at a glance when to call for help immediately, when to ring today and what can wait until the next appointment.

  • Red: call 112 or go to the emergency department immediately
  • Amber: contact your midwife, paediatrician or gynaecologist today
  • Green: raise it at your next visit

Always free. Works without an internet connection.

The emergency section does not replace an emergency call. If in doubt, always call.

App view Emergency: choose mother or child, and the button to call 112
